This is a “Adhesive Art Show” that’s been running annually since 2005. Graffiti artist and the like from all corners of the globe were invited to showcase their sticker and graffiti art. We were fortunate enough to hear about this show in time to cover it. The turnout was great, and the people were really cool. You can read more about this event here. Make sure you get out next year to check it out.

EVO 2010 After Math.

I'm still recovering from a crazy ass weekend. EVO did it up sick this year. I couldn't have thought of a classier joint then Caesars Palace to get things popping real proper like. I’ll come back tomorrow with more coverage of the event. For now I’ll leave you some pictures to keep you posted.

Just real quick before I crash out, I just have to give a quick shout out to everyone in the finals of every tournament, but especially the old school 2D gamers from Street Fighter 2 HD Remix. In my humble opinion, the HDR guys gave us some of the most entertaining matches to watch and had every one sitting at the edge of their seats. Special shout out to my boys DGV and Snake Eyez, I didn’t know who to cheer for at the end, but I was just happy you guys gave such an outstanding performance. You guys had me screaming like a little girl at times. That match alone was worth the trip.

Audience

Our own contender from the crew. Placed 9th.

Mobbing

Mobbing

What everyone came for.

Big Stage Action

The Beast from Japan, Daigo, the 2010 Super Street Fighter 4 champ.

Some Miss USA hopefuls wanted to get a picture with one of the crew. Random encounters.

The 2010 Super Street Fighter 2 HDR champ Snake Eyez on the right.

Summers coming around here in Los Angeles and everyone’s looking for the next big event to check out. As native Angelino’s we feel it’s our duty to report to the people what’s popping out here in World Champion Laker land(Two times running might I add). Through a friend of a friend of not a friend, but more like an associate, we heard about this thing called the LA Street Food Fest. You can get the full details at their site located here. http://www.lastreetfoodfest.com/.

From what I’ve gathered so far, this is my summery and why I’m excited about this event. Tons of street food venders all gathered in one place competing for the title of King of the Street food.

First and foremost, all of the nineoutof10 staff and I would like to thank everyone that showed up to the 1st annual Seibon Customer Appreciation event. Shout outs to Seibon for letting us showcase our gear and be a part of this ground-breaking event. The event had a great turn out and we see good things in the future and future events. The whole thing had a very humble down-to-earth feel. Participants didn’t have to shell out big bucks to get in. Taking a step back to look at the whole event, there was a good mixture of urban culture ranging from auto motive sports, fashion to alternative sports. It wasn't an easy thing to come out in the blazing heat of 100 plus degree weather but you guys did and we certainly appreciate each and every one of you for that. Mad props to the Retaks bike riders busting crazy tricks under the hot cali sun to keep us all entertained. Aside from all the supporters that showed up, we definitely cannot forget our neighboring vendors--each of whom we were given the opportunity to meet and kick it with. Props to Bowls, Par Lay, and Cooler Master. We heard that the weather was actually supposed to be over 300 degrees, but luckily Cooler Master showed up and drastically brought the weather down. Extra thanks to Cooler Master for actually controlling whether, mad props. Now that you all got a chance to meet us and check out our designs, the next thing on our agenda is to get into a store near you. From here on out we will be doing a lot of footwork to cover ground. If you saw our designs and feel our creative creations, be sure to ask about us at your local store. We promise to visit them shortly.

Special thanks to the people that organized the whole shindig.

This ninja beat our whole crew up and stole a bunch of stuff. We spent the rest of the day looking for him to no avail. As you can see, he was much more technologically advanced in terms of mobility. Damn that ninja!

Retaks booth…. Oh sweet, is that a BMX?!

This is what the business is son. 9/10. Nuff said.

The ladies love it…

love it…

Absolutely love it, and this guy is catching on.

The ladies of 9/10.

One of our staff passed out from a heat stroke, but woke up shortly after we mentioned that we don’t have workers compensation insurance.

We had to show some love for Cooler Master.

Barbie showed up and kicked it for a minute.

Rucks get ladies too.

Business in the front, party in the back, that’s how we roll son.

Peep out our gear.

These people brought the ruckus. (Did I really say that?)

Bumble Bee from Transformers came down to show some love.

He probably came with bumble bee also.

They roll pretty deep.

Cars cars cars…

Nineoutof10 staff working hard…

(minutes later)… hardly working.

Bastard coved bastards filled with bastard filling left me all alone to man the booth to check out girls and cars….

At high noon, shade became extremely rare and valuable commodity, and I was willing to kill to protect mine.

Someone told me we stole this model from Calvin Klein.

Our new friends from Par Lay clothing.

Ever wanted to smoke crack, but didn’t have a lighter, or a crack pipe, or crack even? Drink some NOS energy drink. All jokes aside, these mofo’s kept the whole crowd bouncing off walls. I heard before the show started, EVERYTHING was setup by one guy hopped up on 2 bottles of NOS energy drink.

The Bowls booth.

Every raffle prize winner that day walked away with some 9/10 gear.

Yup, we all know the deal, "Get Money, Smoke Trees, Fuck Bitches..." but sometimes we need to take a step back from all that madness and enjoy some of the simpler things in life. The shit that makes you kick your feet up and just chill.

This is the shit that makes you feel like humanity still has a fighting chance.

We just want to spend time to shout out our friends at ARTSHOWLA.COM. They are a group of young entrepreneurs on a mission to keep the underground art scene alive and bumpin. In their own words…

"WE ENCOURAGE...
artist of all mediums to express themselves freely.
WE PROVIDE...
a friendly and noncompetitive environment where people can mingle and enjoy artwork.
WE HOPE...
to bring recognition and inspiration to local artists."

Let me see, what can I say about their events…. The main vibe you get is, “chill”. Maybe some of you out there think about snobby stuck up hipsters when you think “artshow”, but my peeps at the ArtshowLA are anything but that. Everyone there is down to earth and ready to mingle. You can get out there and meet the artist showcasing their master pieces and have a drink with them and discuss all the technical metaphors of their works, or just catch a good buzz and talk about nothing but bull shit. No pressure, my peeps at ArtshowLA are real people down to just kick it. If you think you can groove to that are around LA, then you need to hookup with them. Check them out at their site for updates on future events. www.artshowla.com.

Magic Show 2009

Anyone that knows anything about the fashion industry knows about the Magic show. It’s not the type of show with magicians pulling rabbits out of hats. This is the place clothing brands get together to exhibit their new line up to potential buyers from all over the world. This is our first year attending. Even though we didn’t get a booth, it was a great experience to meet everyone else in the industry. Now we know how hard we have to work to catch up with the big boys. Basically for fashion, this is where the magic happens.

For some reason, even as a kid, this road has always captured my attention.

Arrival to our suite.

1700 square feet with pool table...

Notice the see through glass table on the left hand side, strong enough to withstand 100 to 120 pounds maybe...

Separate bed room in case you want to get some rest away from the party...

Where the magic happens...

Where the magic continues on to...

The bar area with another big screen...

Boulevard view...

Straight chillen...

Another restroom...

Woke up...

To this view...

Las Vegas Convention Center.

When you see it, you will shit bricks.

The s.l.a.t.e. section was where it was at.

A lot of big names in the business were here. Crooks and Castles, Obey, LRG, 10 Deep just to name a few.

Magic.

After we were done with the show we had a chance to blow off some steam at a firing range.

50 rounds goes fast on a H&K MP5 in full auto. Zombie Osama never had a chance.

I just had to get a pic on the way home.
